Nusra Front chief confirmed killed in Syrian air strike
Syria's al-Nusra Front has confirmed that its leader, Abu Homam al-Sharri was killed with three other leaders by a targeted Syrian air strike. Syrian state media said they were killed at a meeting in northern Idlib province. Nusra was involved in a major attack on the Air Force Intelligence headquarters in the embattled city of Aleppo Wednesday. Long an affiliate of Al-Qaeda, the group was reported about to break those ties and seeking arms and support from Gulf states. The three leaders also killed were Abu Musab Falastini, Abu Omar Kurdi, and Abu Baraa Ansari.
