Obama and Romney still in dead heat

A new Gallup poll holds President Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney at 47 percent each for a seven-day “rolling average,” while Rasmussen places both at 46 percent. The economy is still the top issue for Americans who vote for president on Nov. 6. Disappointing progress toward solutions appears to be cutting into the president’s support more than the playing up of his challenger’s stumbles.
