Obama plans to send special operations forces to N. Syria

In a policy about-face, US President Barack Obama plans to deploy dozens of special operations forces to northern Syria to advise opposition forces in their fight against Islamic State, a step he has resisted throughout the five year civil war. The number will be small, according to White House sources, no more than 20 to 30 ground troops.
