Obama-Putin conversation on Syria – inconclusive

President Barack Obama phoned President Vladimir Putin Monday in search of a solution for the Syrian chemical weapons issue. Although the two presidents released communiqués saying theyhad agreed to strengthen their intelligence ties on the question, DEBKA file reports that they reached no real agreement.
