Obama still not convinced
President Barack Obama said Thursday the US has seen evidence of chemical weapons being used in Syria. It was presented to him by Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the White House in a file containing the testimony of Turkish physicians who treated Syrian patients and diagnosed them as suffering from poison chemical substances. Yet the US president still insisted it was important to get more specific details about alleged chemical attacks – in the same way as he has rejected all the other evidence put before him of the use of chemical weapons in Syria.
