President Obama is to shortly make as statement on the crisis in Iraq from the White House later Thursday after a conference with his national security team on US military input to halt the ISIS surge in Iraq. According to some reports, Washington will offer military instructors. Another speaks of a special operations force. Taking part in the assessment are Secretary of State John Kerry, National Security Adiviser Susan Rice, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey.
