President Barack Obama, during a White House news conference with U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron, said, "Defeating the extremists and blunting the threat of domestic terrorism will take slow, plodding, systematic work” wiith moderate elements in the Muslim communities."Intelligence and military force alone won’t solve this problem,” Obama said.
He went on to say that the US has an advantage over Europe in dealing with the threat of “radicalized Muslim extremists” in that "… our Muslim populations they feel themselves to be Americans. There are parts of Europe where that is not the case. That’s probably their biggest challenge.”
Cameron who clearly disagreement with this remark countered: “You can have, tragically, people who’ve had all the advantages” of immigration who still get seduced by the “poisonous narrative that’s perverting Islam,” he said.
