One person shot dead at Copenhagen meeting with controversial artist
Police are hunting the gunman who killed one civilian and injured three police officers at a meeting Saturday with the controversial Swedish artist Lars Vilks at a café in Copenhagen. He fled in a VW that was later found abandoned. The artist has received death threats and lived under constant police production since he stirred controversy in 2007 by depicting Mohammad as a dog. Lars and the French ambassador who attended the gathering devoted to freedom of speech were unharmed.
