Over 70 villagers killed as Cameroon army pursues Boko Haram
More than 70 civillians were killed on Wednesday when the Cameroonian army raided areas held by Boko Haram in Borno state in northeastern Nigeria. According to local residents of the state who set up a militia to fight radical groups like the terrorist organization, Cameroonian soldiers were the ones who slaughtered the villagers, apparently by mistake. A Cameroonian army spokesman said the shooting was by Boko Haram, against which the Nigerian and Cameroonian armies are enaged in an all-out war.
