Over 80 people, mostly Iranians, killed by ISIS truck bomb south of Baghdad
More than 80 people were killed and dozens of others were injured on Thursday at a checkpoint in Hilla, about 100 kilometers south of the Iraqi capital, when an ISIS suicide bomber blew up the truck packed with explosives he was driving. The checkpoint was full of people returning from a Shiite ceremony in the city of Karbala, and most of them were apparently Iranians. A statement by the terrorist organization claimed that 200 people were killed when the truck exploded in an area with dozens of buses packed with Shiites.
