Palestinian driver shot dead before crashing into soldiers

Israeli troops at a makeshift checkpoint near the Palestinian town of Bir Nabalah opened fire early Tuesday when a car suddenly accelerated and drove towards another group of soldiers, the IDF reported. The vehicle stopped short of injuring the soldiers. Palestinian media report that the driver was killed and his wife who was in the car was injured and taken to hospital.
