Palestinian killed throwing a butcher’s knife at security guard

The security guard and a soldier attempted to detain a Palestinian who aroused their suspicion as he approached the Gush Etzion junction on the West Bank. They called on him to halt, then fired in the air. When he responded by throwing a butcher’s knife at them, they shot him dead. The assailant was later identified as a member of the Palestinian security force from the village of Beit Umar north of Hebron.
