Palestinian rocket kills man in his Ashkelon home

An Israeli man of 60 was killed by a Palestinian rocket which hit his dwelling in Ashkelon before dawn on Sunday. He was rushed to hospital where his death was confirmed. Other houses on his street were badly damaged. The heavy Palestinian barrage which began Saturday morning continued through Saturday night. Magen David Adom paramedics have treated 83 victims suffering injuries from flying shrapnel or shock trauma. They evacuated 24 to hospital.
