Palestinian terrorist cell nabbed plotting attacks on Israeli troops
The Shin Bet and IDF Sunday disclosed the detention in November of a three-man cell of Hebron Palestinians planning attacks on Israeli soldiers. They were named as Ahmad Wadah Saleh Shehada, 22, Muhamed Fiyad Avd al-Qader Zarou, 21, and Qusai Ibrahim Dib Maswuda, 23. The group boasted they were acting in the name of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, although they had no direct connections to ISIS. They tried hurling a firebomb at a military patrol – and missed. They then planned to attack a Kiryat Araba dweller and seize his sidearm. They also manufactured several explosive devices to overpower and kill a soldier so as to make use of his rifle and uniform for shooting attacks of Israeli troops.
