Palestinians fire 10th rocket Sunday at second Israeli city
The 10th missile fired from Gaza Sunday exploded outside southern edge of Ashkelon Sunday night. The IDF is examining its fragments. Earlier, the Palestinians aimed a Grad at Israel’s nuclear reactor in Dimona after shooting four at Beersheba, which exploded on open ground outside the city.
The mayor kept schools closed for the day, except for Beersheba University.
Overnight Saturday, IAF aircraft struck terrorists in Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson's announced. According to the announcement, the terrorists were making final preparations to launch a rocket into southern Israel. Direct hits at the target were scored. Sources in Gaza said that the strike took place in the southern town of Khan Younes, killing one Hamas operative and injuring a second critically. If followed a Palestinian five–rocket salvo against at Eshkol in violation of the informal Eid festival truce accepted by Israel. Three fell short and exploded inside the Gaza Strip.
