Palestinians report 2 shot dead in anti-Israeli Nakba rampage
At least two Palestinian rioters were shot dead by Israeli police and others were injured in violent outbreaks across the West Bank and around Jerusalem Thursday, the day they call Naqba, which annually marks the founding of the state of Israel. The two Palestinians who were killed came from the village of Bitunya to throw rocks at soldiers guarding Ofer Prison. Outside the village of Waladja near Jerusalem, 6 Israeli border police officers were injured by rocks. More disturbances took place at Kalandia, Rachel’s Tomb and Damascus Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem. Palestinians lobbed firebombs at Israeli vehicles on the road to Hebron, near the Dehaisha refugee camp and Gush Etzion, causing damage and disrupting traffic.
