Palestinians report one dead in clashes with Jerusalem police
Palestinians sources report that a 17-year Palestinian boy was killed on Friday in the Ras al-Mud suburb – “possibly by gunshots.” Police used tear gas to break up a Palestinian disturbance in that area and said they knew of two Palestinians injured. Palestinian sources reported another protester was critically injured in a demonstration at the A-Tur district of Jerusalem.
Friday prayers outside the gates of Temple Mount ended with hardly any incidents. A few score Muslims defied Palestinian and Waqf officials and passed through the metal detectors kept in place by the police to ascend the shrine and pray at Al Aqsa.
