Paris theater hostage rescuers find 118 dead
The Police operation to free up to 100 hostages held by terrorists at the Bataclan concert hall found 118 people dead. Two terrorists were killed in the assault. Armed with automatic weapons and explosives they had gone into the hall shooting at random before taking up to a 100 hostages. When the gunmen started executing them, the French police launched their assault and found a horrifying scene of carnage indicating that the five explosions heard earlier were caused by the terrorists tossing explosives into the audience. One of the gunmen shouted that he acted for the Islamic State before he died.
The Bataclan was attacked during a rock concert, one of the half a dozen Paris locations attacked by terrorists Friday night.
