Pentagon says Russian jets violated Ukrainian air space

A Pentagon spokesman said Saturday that Russian military aircraft had entered Ukrainian air space on several occasions, and called on Moscow to “de-escalate” the rising tension. The US charge followed a decision by the G7 group of nations to intensify sanctions on Russia for fomenting a rebellion in eastern Ukraine. US officials said the measures would be announced Monday.
