Pirates hijack oil tanker off Somali coast
Two dozen men are reported to have Monday boarded a Sri Lankan-flagged oil tanker off the coast of Somalia and seized the ship with its eight crew members. A spokeswoman for the European Union Naval Force operation off Somalia, Flt. Lt. Louise Tagg, confirmed the incident and said an investigation was underway. Piracy has become relatively rare in the past three years since International patrols began on vulnerable shipping routes.
