Pivotal nominating contests in five US states
The US states of Ohio, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina and Missouri hold pivotal nominating contests Tuesday for the Nov. 8 election to succeed Democratic President Barack Obama.
Donald Trump seeks to seize control of the Republican race by scooping up all five states. Opinion polls show him leading in four excepting Ohio, where he and Governor John Kasich are tied. Another leading rival Senator Marco Rubio is fighting to win his home state of Florida.
