PM Netanyahu and FM Ashkenazi brief 70 diplomats
“We are not standing there with a stopwatch. We can’t at the moment set a time-limit for the operation,” PM Binyamin Netanyahu told 70 diplomats on Wednesday, when asked how long Israel’s military operation in the Gaza Strip would go on. He and FM Gaby Ashkenazi had invited the diplomats for a briefing in Tel Aviv on the operation. “We are making unprecedented efforts to avoiding harming civilians,” the prime minister said. “Not a single person was killed when we collapsed buildings.” He added: “We are hoping to restore calm.”
