PM Netanyahu cuts short Washington visit
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is cutting short his Washington visit and will return home after seeing Donald Trump at the White House on Monday to deal with Israel’s response to what he called Hamas’ “criminal” rocket attack. He promised a forceful Israeli response. Six people were injured in the attack on Moshav Mishmarot in the Sharon region, including a six-month old baby and a three-year old – most with light injuries, except for a 60-year old woman, who was moderately wounded. Netanyahu cancelled his planned speech Tuesday before the AiPAC annual conference.
With two weeks to go to the April 9 election, opposition leaders from all parts of the political spectrum hold Netanyahu as defense minister responsible for the worsening security situation emanating from Hamas terror.
Netanyahu will personally oversee the destruction of a hamas vacated building. He later warned that the IDF would escalate and blow up two empty hamas buildings if the rouge rocket fire continued.
