Anti-government demos across the country

Thousands are turning out on Saturday night for the nightly “Black Flag” demos calling for the prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s resignation outside his official residence in Jerusalem. Another group is forming up outside his private home in Caesarea. Both residences have been heavily fortified against violence and roads blocked. Organizers have asked the police to abstain from using water cannon. The police chief replied that water cannons would continue to be used to disperse disorderly outbreaks and violence against police officers. A large demo is gathering in Tel Aviv, this one mainly of small business owners ruined by the coronavirus restrictions. Several anti-government rallies have also sprung up across the country.
