Police detain six suspects in German sub bribes affair
Six unidentified suspects were arrested under caution Monday for alleged bribery and tax and money-laundering offenses relating to Israel’s purchase of submarines in Germany. The detentions came in the wake of a joint investigation conducted by the Israeli police, taxation authority, and the authority for banning money laundering and terror funding, closely accompanied by the state prosecutor.
Berlin made the latest sale of German submarines to Israel subject to a clause to void the contract if it entailed bribery.
