Police guard courts as 23 Ethiopian protesters indicted
A protest demonstration by the Israeli Ethiopian community turned into a 48-hour riot up and down the country, jamming most of its main highways for hours on Tuesday amid stone-throwing and fires. Police eventually used tear gas to break up the disturbances and arrested 136 rioters. Magen David reported 83 people injured, none dangerously, including 47 police officers. The police later claimed 111 officers were hurt. The protest over the death of 19-year old Solomon Tekah who was shot Sunday night by an off-duty cop sparked a rampage that was fueled by accusations of police violence against the 144,000-strong Ethiopian community allegedly motivated by racism. The cop is under arrest pending a full investigation. The first 23 protesters appeared in court on Wednesday.
It’s so clear how the police are treated in regards to the law… Notice the Ethiopians are blatantly treated with a greater degree of law already. Wow.?
The good man blesses the place, all while the other man blocks highways.
According as the man is, so must you humor him.
@Yasmine – Can you say that in Greek or Swahili or Japanese please, it might make some sense then
Ethiopians are the best warriors Israel has , and military knows that . They are being discriminated everywhere , and they should stop serving military needs in Israel ; Let others go and fight Jewish fights everywhere including in those select units . Ethiopians should be elected to posts of Social , Defense , and International affairs , and not some freaks of nature generals that cannot shoot , fight or think . And Bibi should finally realize that his time has come to go to that same jail they put Ethiopians in .And by the way they are very good looking people , women and men.
Sounds like you are one of them! No offense, but why not pat yourself in the back?
Details about the policeman’s shooting which have not yet been reported in the media (for obvious reasons):
The policeman (who 3 weeks ago completed a training course for officers cum laude and is a veteran of an elite unit of police), off duty and in civilian clothing was with his wife and three small children in the park when he saw a drunken gang brawling.
He approached them to disperse the fight and was attacked. After identifying himself as a policeman he received even more blows and the drunken gang proceeded to throw stones at him, then raining pavement bricks at him.
When they escalated the rain of rocks and bricks now towards the officer’s children, he fired a single warning shot (in accordance with the police procedure – firing at a 45-degree angle to the ground). The bullet hit a concrete section with embedded iron and bounced (ricochet) hitting the young man in the chest. During questioning the officer was asked why he had not fired into the air (the 1st option used for warning shot) he replied that as they were inside a city, he was concerned with where the bullet could come down.
The officer remained on the scene administering first aid and performed CPR.
Another important fact:
The young man was under house arrest order (not supposed to be outdoors, in a drunken brawl in a park) and is known to the police.
black criminals, nothing more
Our “Afro-Jewish brothers” get their proper guidance and inspiration from the two-legged rats in Gaza —
and the Israeli impotent response to the outrages perpetrated by these creatures…
The US has a similar problem, . . . it is with the Somali’s though. Rabble rousers from the beginning.
Those riots were stunning to see. I couldn’t believe that was Israel.
