PM Binyamin Netanyahu said Iran “is increasing its aggression as we speak. We are actively engaged in encountering that aggression.” He spoke in Lisbon Wednesday night alongside US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who affirmed the “strength and importance of the US-Israel bilateral relationship.” The two leaders discussed Iran’s “destabilizing influence in the region, the importance of economic cooperation with regional partners, and Israel’s security.” DEBKAfile adds: Netanyahu and Pompeo followed up on the discussions held in Israel in recent weeks by top US military officials on US-Israeli military coordination against Iran’s threats.
