Pompeo, Pence deny writing the anonymous anti-Trump NYT op-ed

Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Thursday that they did not write the anonymous New York Times op-ed column  that claimed to represent “quiet inside resistance” to the president. Both Pence and Pompeo slammed the paper for giving space to an unidentified person to claim that senior officials were “working from within” to frustrate parts of the Trump agenda “to protect the country from his worst impulses.” President Trump called the writer gutless and raised the specter of treason. He urged the NYT to identity the writer for national security purposes.
