Popular Front HQ attacked in Lebanese Beqaa. Rare Israeli denial
Arab media report that early Wednesday Israel attacked the general command headquarter of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestinian (PFLP) in the Beqaa Valley of eastern Lebanon on the Syrian border. Five operatives were allegedly killed. Israel issued a rare denial, officials flatly disassociating from “any attack either in Syria or Lebanon.” PFLP central committee member Bader Ahmed Jibril claimed, “Five general command members were murdered in an Israeli dawn bombardment of a site on the Lebanese-Syrian border front.”
