Post-mortem: George Floyd’s death was homicide

An official autopsy commissioned by George Floyd’s family found him to have suffered cardiac arrest while being restrained by Minneapolis police. The cause of his death, which has sparked protest across America, was declared to be “cardiopulmonary arrest complicated by asphyxiation” when a police officer pressed his knee into Floyd’s neck for several minutes.
