Powell denies his disclosure of Israel’s 200 nukes sourced in intelligence

Former US Secretary of State Colin Powell did not repudiate the email claimed by Hacker group DCLeaks, in which he said Israel had 200 nukes all pointed at Tehran. He only denied that he had ever been given intelligence briefing on Israel’s nuclear arsenal. The information, he said, was drawn from general knowledge. DEBKAfile: Powell needs to avoid being caught illegally citing intelligence data while no longer in office. It is hard to believe that as secretary of state and earlier, as Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs, he was never given intelligence briefing on Israel’s reputed nuclear warheads.
