President grants Gantz two extra days for premiership bid

Amid a Likud-Kahol Lavon negotiating marathon on Tuesday on final terms for sharing the lead of a national emergency government, President Reuven Rivlin granted the Kahol Lavan leader Benny Gantz an extra two days for his effort. The president said he was persuaded to do so “on the understanding that they are very close to reaching an agreement.” Gantz and PM Binyamin Netanyahu’s conversation Monday night continued Tuesday morning along with their negotiating teams.
