President Herzog again pleads for national unity

Despite the deep national crisis, a defining constitutional moment is possible, said President Isaac Herzog on Wednesday after eleven protesters were injured in Tel Aviv for rampaging and blocking traffic and 29 arrested. Police chief Kobi Shabtain said several police officers were injured in the clashes. Police used stun grenades, water cannons and mounted officers to break up the melee and reopen roads. Jerusalem became the next focus of protest Wednesday night. Police stood ready to block them from reaching the prime minister’s home and creating disturbances in the streets of the capital.
