President Rivlin entrusts the Knesset with finding a prime minister
Upon the expiry of Kahol Lavan leader Benny Gantz’s mandate for forming a post-election government, President Reuven Rivlin on Thursday handed the task to the Knesset. In the meantime, power-sharing negotiations are moving into their final stage between Kahol Lavan and Lavan leaders, Ganz and PM Binyamin Netanyahu. They are working against the clock. If they fail to present the House with a government within 21 days, Israel will be saddled with its fourth election in just over a year.
