Prime minister puts Galant dismissal on hold. New announcement awaited

The HIstadrut trade unions federation declared a general strike Monday including all shopping malls in support of Yoav Galant, the defense minister whom the prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced he was firing Sunday night for demanding a halt in judicial reform legislation. Far right-national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir threatened to bring the coalition government down if Netanyahu backs off.
