Prince Philip’s death denied after royal household staff ordered to London

"You could safely assume the Queen and Prince Philip are not dead," a palace press officer told a reporter Thursday, quashing rumors set off by a Buckingham Palace call for the servants from royal residences across the country for an emergency meeting in London. They are to be addressed by the Lord Chamberlain, head of the Royal Household, and the Queen’s Private Secretary Sir Christopher Geidt. An announcement from the palace is awaited. The Queen turned 91 last month and her husband Prince Philip will be 96 in June. Both the Queen and Prince Philip appeared in good health Wednesday – the Queen meeting Teresa May and Prince Philip at Lords Cricket Ground. Everyone is still in the dark about what is going on at Buckingham Palace.
