Putin in Paris holds tense talks with Macron

Russian president Vladimir Putin arrived in Paris Monday for talks with the newly-elected French President Emmanuel Macron. He was received at the Grand Trianon Palace in Versailles. The two presidents are at odds over the Syrian and Ukraine crises. Macron moreover resents Putin’s support for his rival, the far-right Marine Le Pen in the recent elections.
