Putin keeps cruise missiles in Mediterranean

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Russian military vessels with Kalibr cruise missiles would be on permanent standby in the Mediterranean. Addressing the Russian high military command at a meeting in the Black Sea city of Sochi, Putin said the deployment was necessary “due to the remaining terrorist threat in Syria.”

Yes, Putin, but who do you consider to be “the terrorists”? Your concept of the definition is different from mine. Are those missiles for the USA, Israel, ISIS, or Iran-Hezbollah? I think that you greatest threat to your hegemony is Iran. That is why you wisely stood aside as Israel defended itself against the recent provocation and aggression against Israel by Iran. You probably want the missiles there to protect the oil fields near Lebanon and Israel. Are you thinking of stealing away the oil from Lebanon? Things do get very complicated very quickly in quagmire Middle East, don’t they?

Russia is behind Iran, an ally, and supplying advanced weapons to Iran and Syria. Russia has always been behind Syria in every war against Israel.

Those are gas fields in disputed lands between Israel and Lebanon . No one ask Lebanon what it thinks , so do not expect good things to come out of this one.Geological societies are impartial to all , and according to even Israeli GIS , those fields invade Lebanon sovereign waters.

Russia Novatek wants the contracts to develop the Lebanese gas fields along with “A consortium of France’s Total, Italy’s Eni”? The borders between the Lebanese fields and Israels fields is, as usual. being contested. Russia wants a serious piece of the action and turmoil in Syria and Lebanon might make it easier for Russia to grab it by bribing the evil Hezbollah government agents effectively in charge of Lebanon. What Russia considers to be Israel’s legitimate claims and boundaries is still an open question.

Those missiles are more likely for those operating in Syria with Western backing stirring the pot I do not believe that the Russians care one way or the other for Hezbollah they have clearly shown that they are not standing in the way of Israeli interests and Bibi and Putin seem to have good rapport and seem to like each other on a personal level .

      inexorable, look it up

Never, Iago. Like to the Pontick Sea,
Whose icy current and compulsive course
Ne’er feels retiring ebb, but keeps due on
To the Propontic and the Hellespont,
Even so my bloody thoughts, with violent pace,
Shall ne’er look back, ne’er ebb to humble love,
Till that a capable and wide revenge
      Swallow them up……

At mare Mediterraneum, quod est sinuum maximus, et hujus partes Tyrrahenum, Pontus, et Propontis, et similiter mare Balticum, quae omnia reflectunt ad orientem, destituuntur fere,et fluxus habent imbeccillos.

Mr. Putin should warry about terrorists in his own country: the Chechens. As for the Middle East that’s only business: oil and gas.
