Putin: Nuclear progress contingent on safeguarding Israeli security

Russian president Vladimir Putin told a new conference in Moscow Thursday that progress toward a comprehensive nuclear accord with Iran depended on first safeguarding the security of Israel and Middle East nations. He praised the US role in forging an interim deal for easing concerns about Iran’s nuclear program and said he hoped that broadening the sanctions blacklist would not impede progress towards a comprehensive agreement.
