Putin phones Netanyahu as Zelensky is hailed at US Congress
Six weeks after PM-designate Binyamin Netnyahu’s election win, President Vladimir Putin phoned to congratulate him on forming a government, Netanyahu’s Likud reported on Thursday. He told Putin that he hoped “a way will be found quickly to end the war (with Ukraine) and the suffering it has caused.” Bother leaders, said the Kremlin, expressed confidence that Russian-Israel relations would continue to develop “through contacts at difference levels.” Putin sent Hanukkah greetings to Netanyahu and all the Israeli people.
