Putin: Russian hackers may have interfered in 2016 US campaign
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday at a press conference in Saint Petersburg that "patriotically minded" private Russian hackers may have been involved in cyberattacks last year to boost Donald Trump's presidential election campaign. The comment was a shift from the Kremlin's previous position that there was no Russian involvement whatsoever. Putin also repeated his denial that the government was linked to the cyberattacks.
