Putin says he ‘would be glad’ to meet Trump in July or September in Europe
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that he is ready to meet US President Donald Trump in July at the G20 summit in the German city of Hamburg, or at the Arctic Council summit in Finland's capital Helsinki this September. In a speech, Putin stated that Moscow would like to get its ties with Washington back on track as soon as possible, claiming the allegations that his country interfered in the US presidential election were "lies and fiction". The Russian president also revealed that he will meet with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in April to discuss cooperation in the war against ISIS. Putin made the speech at the International Arctic Forum in the city of Arkhangelsk in northwestern Russia.
