Putin to pay a two-day visit to Egypt

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives in Cairo on Feb. 9 for two days of talks with Egyptian President Abdel-Fatteh El-Sisi on bilateral ties and regional issues, the Kremlin announced Wednesday. They will discuss the situation in Iraq, Syria and Libya as well as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Moscow seeks to boost its military ties with Egypt, while Cairo needs more Russian wheat.
