Pyongyang launches two medium-range ballistic missiles

North Korea on Tuesday night launched two intermediate-range ballistic missiles, one that failed and only flew 150 kilometers, and another that succeeded by remaining in flight for 400 kilometers. The tests heightened regional tensions as Japan and South Korea raised their level of preparedness.
