Qatar is deporting several Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood activists

Qatar Saturday obeyed a Saudi-UAE ultimatum to deport Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood activists who had set up residence in Doha. DEBKAfile: The ultimatum was presented to the Qatari ruler shortly before US President Donald Trump arrived in Riyadh after Saudi intelligence discovered the oil emirate’s foreign minister had secretly visited Tehran to discuss a conspiracy against the US with Al Qods chief Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
On May 29, DEBKAfile reported exclusively that Riyadh had asked Egypt not to permit Hamas political director Ismail Haniya to travel to Doha via Cairo.  Israel was not involved in the Saudi action against Qatar.
