Recount and recheck of soldiers’ votes ordered after irregularities claimed
After New Right was pushed back out of the Knesset in the final tally of military votes on Thursday, its leaders said: “Someone is stealing the Right’s victory,” and demanded a recount. The Central Elections Committee then announced that the double envelopes containing the votes of soldiers are being rechecked for comparison with the data entered on computers, “because when returns are this close, every ballot counts.”
