Republican Senate leader congratulates Biden

Senate majority leader Mitch Mr McConnell said he had hoped for a “different result” from the Nov. 3 election, but the electoral college had spoken. “So today I want to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden,” he said. President Donald Trump still refuses to concede victory while claiming election fraud.

After Monday’s confirmation of the Biden victory, three world leaders, Russia’s Vladimir Putin, Brazil’s Jair Bolsonaro and Mexico’s Andrés Manuel López Obrador, finally sent congratulations.
