Republicans to vote on Trump nomination after disruptive day one
The US Republican national convention is due Tuesday to officially nominate Donald Trump for president in the November election, after a contentious start Monday. A vote to change the rules descended into a shouting match between pro- and anti-Trump delegates. In contrast, Melania Trump’s first performance in which she predictably introduced her husband warmly as a family man and father – and congratulated his rivals – went down well as gracious and fitting.
