Results awaited in Johnson-Hunt race as next UK PM
The outcome of a ballot of 160,000 Tory members will be announced later Tuesday and Britons will discover whether Boris Johnson or Jeremy Hunt is their next prime minister. The winner takes over officially from Theresa May on Wednesday. From the start, Johnson, former mayor London and foreign secretary, was the frontrunner against Foreign Secretary Hunt. Johnson pledged to take the UK out of the EU on Oct. 31, even without a deal, while Hunt would negotiate a longer deadline for a UK decision.
