Roadside bomb kills 3 Egyptian soldiers in Sinai
An Egyptian team searching for explosives in an armored vehicle was struck Monday by a roadside bomb near the northern Sinai border town of Rafah. Three soldiers were killed. Last week, at least 14 people were killed in a wave of Islamist terrorist attacks in northern Sinai. DEBKAfile: Most of the casualties were caused by roadside bombs used increasingly by Al Qaeda’s Sinai branch and smuggled in from Iraq.
